This itinerary is ideal for tourists who want to experience both New York City and nearby towns around the state. It works best with a rental car starting on Day 3, after exploring Manhattan.

Times Square New York

Day 1

Manhattan Classics: Times Square, Central Park & Midtown

Transportation: Walk, subway, taxi or rideshare. No rental car needed today.

Morning

  • Walk to Bryant Park and the New York Public Library.

Option A: Finger Lakes Adventure

  • Drive toward Watkins Glen State Park for waterfalls and gorge scenery.

Optional Extension: Niagara Falls
